As a Drug & General Merchandise Manager, you'll be responsible for total operation of the Drugstore Department including Customer and Partner relation, merchandising, and financial performance.

We are looking for:
- School of Retail Management (SORM) training: comprehensive training program to be completed for prospective H-E-B Partners who are committed to a career as managers in H-E-B store operations 

- 1yr leadership experience
- Drive for financial results

What is the work?
Management:
- Spends majority of time using independent judgment making employment-related and business decisions, or effectively recommending such decisions, including product- and department-related strategies, hiring, promoting, disciplining, suspending, discharging, rewarding, or otherwise engaging in resolving Partner-related matters
- Communicates profitability expectations to team; drives team to meet or exceed expectations
- Develops / trains future leaders in the School of Retail Management (SORM) and School of Retail Leadership (SORL)
- Provides continuous feedback to ensure team's expectations are met; holds team accountable
- Plans / coordinates / communicates the Corporate merchandising and marketing plan to the Store plan
- Maintains positive relationships with vendors

Sales / Analytics:
- Applies firm knowledge of financials; executes processes to achieve goals
- Plans, analyze, builds and maintains required displays based on PDP and ordered via DOL (Displays Online)
- Executes the corporately-driven merchandising plan on a daily basis
- Executes daily SRS process to ensure shelf replenishment
- Exhibits passion for product and customer service; drives customer engagement for department
- Ensures in-stock conditions, wareroom / inventory control
- Monitors department budget and payroll

What is your background?
- Minimum age 18 (mandatory)
- H-E-B School of Retail Management (to be completed upon hire)
- 1+ years of experience in retail management
- Experience in leadership / management
- SRS Certification
- MHE certification (forklift / power jack training)

Do you have what it takes to be a fit as an H-E-B Drugstore Manager?
- Knowledge of department SOPs
- Interpersonal and verbal / written communication skills
- Organization and planning skills
- Customer service skills
- Computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel), and H-E-B systems
- Ability to build, motivate, and maintain staff
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks

Can you...
- Function in a fast-paced, retail environment
- Continuously stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, reach overhead, and side to side throughout shift
- Occasionally lift and carry 50-75 pounds
- Work extended hours and / or rotating schedules
